Boss wants a fitter Foster

Rotherham manager Andy Scott has told midfielder Luke Foster he will not play for the League Two side until he gets fitter.

Scott brought the 26-year-old to the club from Stevenage in the summer but he has made just one appearance so far this season. Scott puts that down to a lack of fitness and has questioned Foster's desire to get into the team. "Luke has not really been at a level physically to play at a standard I expect," he said. "He needs to go and play games. Luke is the sort of player that needs to be playing games to be match fit rather than doing it in training. "But if you want to be match fit, you get yourself match fit. You can work in training, you can stay behind, you have days off, you can get yourself fit. "Luke has not been in the side and that tells you everything you need to know."
