Rotherham boss Andy Scott is seeking defensive cover on loan after news Mark Bradley needs surgery on a dislocated shoulder.
Centre-half Bradley sustained the injury during the second half of Rotherham's Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Sheffield United in midweek and is expected to be sidelined for up to four months.
Millers manager Andy Scott told the Sheffield Star: "We're down to four defenders and one of them, Johnny Mullins, is just back after five months out, so we have to do something. We've no cover at left-back either."
Fellow defender Ryan Cresswell has missed the last three games with an ankle problem and Troy Brown is away on international duty with Wales Under-21s, leaving Scott with just two centre-halves, Mullins and Michael Raynes, for Saturday's home game with Burton.
