Holroyd feeling promotion heat

Rotherham striker Chris Holroyd is feeling the pressure to deliver promotion this season after his move from Brighton.

The Millers kick-off their League Two programme at home to Oxford on Saturday with many tipping them to finally end their four-year stay in the bottom tier. But Holroyd, who may be expected to replace the goals of Adam Le Fondre should he be sold, believes the talking should be done on the pitch. "It is a big club for League Two," said the former Cambridge striker. "The manager has come in and looked to change a few things and it is a club that is really professional. "I think there is pressure for promotion. Looking at the signings we have made and the squad we already had, we should be looking for promotion but we have to back that up on the pitch. "It's easy to say you should get promoted but you have got to show it."
