Dons boss seeks swift decision on new deals

Craig Brown has issued ultimatums to seven members of Aberdeen's first-team squad over their expiring contracts. The Dons manager could face a mass exodus at Pittodrie this summer after claiming he will play hard-ball on offering new deals to a host of players. Jamie Langfield, David McNamee, Zander Diamond, Chris Maguire, Rob Milsom, Derek Young and Sone Aluko are all out-of-contract at the end of the season. And Brown has warned those performers they will receive just one offer and it will be taken off the table if they do not accept by a specific deadline. The former Scotland chief told The Daily Record: "I will not be talking to the players about their contract situation until next month. "After those discussions I will give them a deadline to come back to me on any offer that has been made to them. "That offer will only be open for a certain amount of time and the deadline could be a different timescale for each player. Any contract offer will be withdrawn if they don't get back to me."
