Dons boss to make decisions on free agents

Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee has confirmed he will shortly decide the futures of six trialists. The Dons boss has been looking at the likes of Grant Basey, Robbie Williams, Jeff Smith, Conor Okus, Adnan Ahmed and Yoann Folly. The players all played in Sunday's 2-0 friendly win over Peterhead and McGhee insists they all bring some quality to the table. McGhee is happy with the players' experience and is of the firm belief that his Pittodrie squad needs strengthening before the start of the new SPL campaign. "It will be hard to make choices because they are all decent players," he told the Evening Express. "All six have decent experience of playing games at high levels. They also play in positions that we are clearly short in. "If we didn't think there was a chance of them doing a job for Aberdeen they would have been sent away by now."
