Midfielder impresses during first month with Rotherham

Rotherham United have extended the contract of former Yeovil Town midfielder Gary Roberts until the end of the season. The playmaker joined the Millers on a one-month deal in November and has impressed significantly to earn an extended deal with the club. Having started his career at Crewe, Roberts looked to have a bright future ahead of him, but he lost his way somewhat after joining Yeovil in the summer of 2008. Since leaving the Glovers earlier in the season he has had unsuccessful trials with a number of clubs, including Brighton, but Ronnie Moore swooped to sign him last month and he has established himself well at the Don Valley Stadium. Roberts has made five appearances to date and is set to be involved in Tuesday night's FA Cup second-round replay at Luton Town.
