Rotherham United have finalised the signing of midfielder Gary Roberts on an initial one-month contract.

Roberts has been training with the Millers for the past fortnight after being released by Yeovil Town back in September.

He passed a medical earlier in the week and has now accepted a short-term deal, with the option of an extended contract with the League Two club.

"Gary has been with us for the past couple of weeks and Ronnie (Moore) has been very impressed with what he has seen," said chief operating officer Paul Douglas.

"He has been a breath of fresh air on the training ground and I am sure he will provide competition for what is already a very competitive midfield."

Roberts, who also trained with Brighton after leaving Yeovil, joins former Glovers team-mates Mark Lynch and Paul Warne at Don Valley Stadium.
