Yeovil Town forward Paul Warne fears he may have played his last game for the club after failing to agree new terms at Huish Park.
The 36-year-old, who has been at the Somerset club for two years, is a rumoured summer transfer target for former Glovers boss Russell Slade at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Warne has revealed that his delight at having secured Yeovil's safety following last weekend's 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers has been slightly tinged by his potential departure from the club.
"It was great to be declared safe last weekend, as you don't want to go into the final game needing a result," said Warne.
"Now we can wind down and relax and really play some good football against Colchester United and hopefully give the fans something to be happy about over the summer.
"As for where I'll be next year, I just don't know. I'm hopeful that something can be sorted out because it's a club I've had a great time with, but things are looking unlikely at the moment with the club needing to cut their cloth."
Brighton boss Slade is a known admirer of Warne, who came into the game late at the age of 24 with Wigan Athletic, but insists that he still has a lot to offer.
"I'll have to see what comes about over the summer, and it would be nice to have the security of a new deal.
"I was hit hard by Russell's departure as he was a terrific person to be around here, but talk of a transfer to Brighton is off the mark as I still hope to be a part of Yeovil's future, if something can be sorted."
