Mansfield striker considering his options

Rotherham United are in the hunt to sign Michael Boulding following Mansfield Town's relegation from the Football League. Boulding is expected to leave Field Mill during the summer and is being tracked by a number of clubs. The striker scored 25 goals for Mansfield last season and has previously spent a brief spell at Rotherham at the end of the 2005/06 campaign. Millers assistant manager John Breckin has confirmed the League Two side are hoping to win the chase for the 32-year-old.

Competition

"It is a known fact we are interested in him and we have spoke to him," Breckin told BBC Radio Sheffield. "He is away on holiday at the moment, but we expect a decision shortly. "We face a lot of competition though. When you score the number of goals he has - especially in a side that went down - you have several irons in the fire. "Boulding is the kind of striker we are looking to bring in, but it won't just be him, we would like to sign another one as well."
