Keeper joins Chesterfield on loan as another departs

Chesterfield have signed Sheffield United's youth goalkeeper Jamie Annerson on loan following Michael Jordan's exit. England Under-19 international Annerson, who has previously spent time with Rotherham, has joined on an initial one-month loan. Manager Lee Richardson was keen to bolster his options as former Arsenal man Jordan was released after being informed his contract would not be renewed. "We have allowed Michael to leave at this time to give him an early opportunity of finding another club," he told the club's official website. Richardson is looking forward to Annerson challenge for a first-team place at Saltergate. "Jamie is a highly-rated young 'keeper who I expect will provide extra competition," he concluded.
