Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore is hopeful the club's board will allow him to make a bid for the Wrexham duo of Carlos Edwards and Paul Edwards.

The Millers boss has been monitoring the pair's progress at The Racecourse Ground and is hoping that Millmoor chairman Ken Booth can release the funds that will allow him to table a bid to the North Wales club.

"I've seen them a few times and they are very good players," Moore said.

"One can play on the left, the other on the right, so that should help our cause in midfield.

"Hopefully, the chairman will grant me permission to speak to (Wrexham boss) Denis Smith and we can get something sorted that will suit both parties."

Trinidad & Tobago international Carlos has already attracted the interest of fellow Division One sides Norwich City and Wigan Athletic and Scottish Premier League club Dundee this term.

His namesake Paul signed a one-year deal with The Dragons last summer and it remains to be seen if the Second Division side will part with the duo at this stage in the campaign.
