Chesterfield seal double deal

Chesterfield have completed loan deals for Birmingham winger Mark Duffy and Wolves defender Ashley Carter.

Duffy joins the Spireites on loan until March 1 while Carter's youth loan is an initial 28-day deal, which can then be extended. Duffy moved to Birmingham from Doncaster last summer following Rovers' relegation from the Championship but he has found first-team opportunities at St Andrew's limited. The 29-year-old has made just three starts and four substitute appearances for Blues. His last taste of match action came during the FA Cup third-round win at Blyth Spartans at the start of January. Carter, 19, is a left-sided centre-half who signed his first professional contract in February last year. He has featured for Wolves' reserve team this season.
