Lavery recalled by Owls

Championship Sheffield Wednesday have recalled Caolan Lavery from his loan spell with Plymouth Argyle.

The young striker featured eight times for Argyle and scored three goals in his last four appearances, helping the club climb up to 12th position in League Two. Lavery only recently extended his loan spell at Home Park but Wednesday have invoked a 24-hour recall clause, and he could now be in contention for their Championship clash with Leeds this weekend. A Plymouth spokesman said: "Whilst we are disappointed that Caolan has been recalled, we fully appreciate the situation and are grateful to Wednesday for allowing him to join us and wish him all the best on his return to Hillsborough."
