Chesterfield have been dealt an injury blow with the news that Sam Morsy may face a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Morsy was forced off with a knee injury during the first half of the goalless draw at Bristol Rovers last weekend. The 22-year-old underwent a scan on Wednesday afternoon with the best prognosis for the combative midfielder an absence of at least four to six weeks. Morsy, a summer signing from Port Vale, has featured in all 14 of the Spireites' Sky Bet League Two matches this season.
