Shez bemoans schoolboy error

Chesterfield boss John Sheridan lamented a defensive lapse which left his side nursing a 1-0 opening-day defeat at Tranmere.

Robbie Weir netted the only goal of the game as Tranmere enjoyed a winning start to their npower League One campaign. The midfielder struck with 16 minutes remaining to ensure Chesterfield left Prenton Park empty-handed on their return to the third tier. Sheridan told Spireites Player: "I'm disappointed because I don't like losing any game. "It looked like a draw all over but we went to sleep from a throw-in and we didn't organise quickly enough. "It was a schoolboy error and I will look at the video and talk to the players - but I didn't think it was a great game."
