Scunthorpe new boy Jimmy Ryan has claimed the Iron are "good enough to beat any team" ahead of the new League One season .
Midfielder Ryan, 22, arrived at Glanford Park from Accrington this summer on a two-year deal after being named in the PFA League Two team of the year last term.
Scunthorpe begin the season at Wycombe this Saturday and Ryan is hoping for a strong start.
"We know that we're good enough to beat any team and we want to go into the Wycombe game and do the same," he told the club's official website.
"We're just looking forward to that game really and hopefully we can play well."
