Kevan Hurst admitted he upset some of his family and friends when helping Morecambe to victory over Chesterfield on Saturday.

Goals in each half from ex-Spireites midfielder Hurst and James Spencer secured the Shrimps' first away win since early January.

Chesterfield-born Hurst, 25, said: "I'm a Chesterfield lad and it's special to score against my old club - although I didn't want to celebrate it.

"A lot of my friends as well as my mum and dad, missus and uncle were all there. My uncle is a big Spireites fan.

"We played some of our best football of the season. The lads chased every ball, we hit two good goals and didn't give them an inch."
