Chesterfield are waiting to discover the extent of the hamstring injury suffered by Craig Davies against Burton.
The 14-goal striker was forced off early in the second half of the FA Cup second-round defeat at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
"He felt his hamstring but hopefully it is not too serious," said Blues boss John Sheridan.
"We took him off as a precaution really but we will have to assess him over the course of this week."
