Chesterfield have snapped up free agent Danny Boshell in a six-month contract after his release from Grimsby.
The midfielder became the second free transfer arrival on deadline-day at Saltergate after striker Adam Rundle signed following his release from Rochdale.
Boshell was surplus to requirements at the Mariners and could go straight into John Sheridan's squad to face Lincoln City this weekend.
Meanwhile, striker Barry Conlon's permanent arrival from Grimsby completes a trio of signings for the Spireites after he signed a six-month contract with the club.
