Notts County have completed the signing of Phil Picken on-loan from Chesterfield.
The 23-year-old defender has penned a one-month deal at Meadow Lane and could be handed his Magpies debut during Saturday's home clash with Exeter.
County boss Ian McParland was forced to find cover at right-back after seeing Adam Tann ruled out with a knee ligament injury.
Picken began his career as a trainee at Manchester United, but has been with the Spireites since 2005.
He spent nine months on loan at Saltergate during the 2005/06 campaign, before signing a permanent deal at the end of that season.
He has made over 100 appearances for Chesterfield and will bring useful experience to County's defensive unit.
