Coventry manager Iain Dowie insists he will do his utmost to ensure Robert Page secures a beneficial move away from the Ricoh Arena.
Page is expected to complete a transfer away from the Championship club later this month after falling out of favour with Dowie.
And The Sky Blues boss has confirmed that he is in talks with a number of clubs about a switch, while praising the 33-year-old's professionalism.
"There are a couple of things bubbling and wherever he goes, he goes with our blessing," Dowie told the
Coventry Telegraph.
Fantastic
"But it has got to be right for Pagey and he knows I will do what is right for him.
"To be fair, Pagey has been a consummate pro and I have got a lot of time for him.
"He is a fantastic pro who looks after himself and he has still got a good couple of playing years left in him."
Gooding
Meanwhile, midfielder Andy Gooding has left the club after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
The 19-year-old has struggled to establish himself in Dowie's first-team plans this season and leaves the Ricoh Arena having not made a senior appearance for The Sky Blues.
Gooding enjoyed a loan spell at Blue Square Premier outfit Burton earlier this season and scored one goal in 12 games.
