Bradford have confirmed the signing of defender Christopher Routis on a one-year contract.

The Swiss-born 24-year-old, whose deal has an additional year in the club's favour, has signed for the League One club on the same day as winger Filipe Morais. Routis featured in the club's pre-season friendlies against Ossett Town, Blackburn, Bradford Park Avenue and Hartlepool. Bradford boss Phil Parkinson told the club's official website: "Chris has impressed us since coming to the club and we feel he will be a good addition the squad. "He has the right attitude and we are looking forward now to working with him on a permanent basis." Routis, released by Swiss Super League club Servette earlier in the summer, will wear the number 18 shirt. His move is subject to international clearance and he is not expected to feature against Coventry on Saturday.
