Parkinson keen to add to squad

Bradford manager Phil Parkinson admits he is not yet satisfied with his squad going into the new season.

The Bantams begin their new League One campaign in less than a fortnight, kicking off against Coventry, and he believes his squad is a little thin on the ground. Despite adding six new faces to the team, a number of players have also left Valley Parade. Parkinson told the club's official website: "We're not happy with where the numbers are at the moment. I know we need more players to add to the squad. "We need another goalkeeper to add to the group, especially as Jordan Pickford (on loan from Sunderland) can't play in the cups. "It needs resolving because, no disrespect intended, we don't want to have to go into the cups and throw a youngster in goal if he isn't ready for it. "With Matt Taylor going (to Cheltenham), there is space for another defender in the squad as well. "We are also looking to strengthen in other areas, such as the wide positions. I know where we need to add." Breaking news, transfer gossip, line ups and goal alerts from your football club - delivered direct to your mobile. Sign up for Sky Sports Alerts
