Reid reaping rewards

Bradford winger Kyel Reid puts his impressive form so far this season down to his improved fitness.

The 25-year-old former West Ham trainee, nominated for the Sky Bet League One player of the month award for September, was dogged by groin trouble last season, but has featured in all Bradford's games this time round, mainly in the starting line-up. "I'm more than grateful and pleased to be among the nominations, it's a tough category I think," Reid told Press Association Sport. "I'm just pleased things are going well for me and that people are noticing, but the team is winning as well and that's the main thing. "Behind the scenes I've been working a lot on my fitness and groin strengthening to make sure I don't have any injury worries this season. "I'd like to play a full season injury-free and I'm pleased with how things are going and I've just got to keep it up, keep working hard, carry on with my strengthening and when it comes to training I've got to show everyone what I'm about. "I'm really enjoying my football at the minute and I think it shows."
