Sky Sports understands Bradford are in talks with Andrew Davies over a new deal at Valley Parade.
Davies' current deal expires later this month, but Bradford are in advanced talks about extending the defender's stay at the club.
The 28-year-old made 33 appearances in all competitions for Bradford last season and he played a key role in their successful promotion to League One.
A number of clubs are thought to be monitoring Davies' situation if he becomes available on a free transfer.
However, Bantams boss Phil Parkinson is determined to keep hold of the former Middlesbrough and Stoke man as he prepares for next season.
