Matt Duke says he will not allow himself to dream of a day out at Wembley until Bradford have reached the Capital One Cup final.
The Bantams took another positive stride on their remarkable cup run on Tuesday, with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa seeing them establish a commanding first-leg lead in their semi-final showdown.
Bradford now stand on the brink of gracing a major final as a fourth tier outfit, with one game separating them from their own piece of history.
Duke, who put in an heroic display against Villa in midweek, acknowledges that Phil Parkinson's side are in a strong position, but insists no-one at Valley Parade is allowing themselves to get caught up in the cup hype.
He said: "I was speechless after we beat Villa. I couldn't take it in. We always fancied our chances to get something from the game but to go to their place 3-1 up is fantastic.
"We're only halfway there and we know we've achieved nothing yet.
"It was one of those nights. There were shots coming in from all angles but I fancied myself to save them.
"Team spirit can get you a long way but I'll wait until we get a result at Villa Park before dreaming of Wembley."
