Jones earns Parkin praise

Assistant manager Steve Parkin praised Gary Jones after Bradford maintained their 100% home record, beating Barnet 3-0.

Three goals in 10 minutes at the start of the second half sealed the three points. Jones, who joined Bradford from Rochdale during the summer, was outstanding in midfield and his free-kicks supplied two of City's goals. "At 35, Gary Jones defies logic, storming around the field and still going at the end," said Parkin. "He is a role model for the younger players and shows that is how much effort you have to put in to play as long as he has." Parkin is delighted that Bradford have begun the season with three home wins in a row. He added: "We worked long and hard to make sure that the home form is one we can be proud of and the fans can enjoy. The building blocks were put in place last season and, although we probably drew too many matches, teams found it difficult to pick points up here and we have continued that this time."
