Former Macclesfield winger Matt Hamshaw is on trial with Bradford and he could feature in Saturday's first friendly outing against Tadcaster.
Hamshaw, 30, is a free agent after leaving relegated Macc at the end of last season when his contract expired. City boss Phil Parkinson is looking to beef up his squad and the experienced Hamshaw, who can also play in central midfield, is hoping to win a deal. Parkinson told the Telegraph & Argus: "Matt's been training with us. We're having a look at a number of players and he is one of them. "It's possible that some of the trialists might play tomorrow. "It's a good game (at Tadcaster) for us because we're up against a local team and we haven't been there before. "Tadcaster have been very accommodating and trying to make it a good day-out for the supporters as well. "I'm sure the fans will be there in numbers and it's also a chance for them to see the new signings for the first time." Parkinson is hoping to add one more face before City leave for their pre-season tour of Ireland on Sunday, but has admitted that might not be possible. He added: "We are working hard on it. But whether we will have someone for the weekend or not is looking doubtful."
