Former Hull City striker makes move to St Andrew's

Caleb Folan has joined Championship promotion chasers Birmingham on a free transfer until the end of the season. The former Hull City striker was a free agent after being released by MLS side Colorado Rapids at the start of February. And with Chris Hughton keen to bolster his forward line, the 29-year-old impressed hugely during his recent trial at St Andrew's which prompted the Blues boss to make a move for the player. Folan, who has been given squad number 16, is expected to be available for selection for the game against Derby at home at the weekend. The forward's arrival at the West Midlands club follows that of defender Peter Ramage on loan from QPR until the end of the season and the signing of Cian Hughton - son of Birmingham boss Chris. Hughton also added winger Andros Townsend and forward Erik Huseklepp to his promotion-chasing squad last week.
