Bradford City have signed Oxford United striker Deane Smalley on loan until the end of the season.

The frontman has struggled to force his way into Oxford manager Chris Wilder's first-team plans this term, scoring just twice in 26 appearances, and has joined the Bantams in an effort to rediscover his top form. A clause has been inserted into the deal preventing Smalley from turning out for Bradford against his parent club when the two sides meet in League Two on March 10. Wilder told United's official website: "He's had a lack of opportunities and I think the change should kick-start Deane's season."
