De Vita keen to score more

Raffaele De Vita has made an early New Year's Resolution - to start scoring more goals for Swindon.

The former Livingston forward, who has frequently been deployed as a left winger by Paolo Di Canio, has five strikes to his name so far this term. However, the 24-year-old thinks the Robins' formation allows him to find the net much more often and fully intends to do just that in 2012. "I've played more games than anyone. Mehdi (Kerrouche) has scored eight in eight starts and that's a different record to mine," he said. "I think with the system we play it's easy for me to get shots on goal and chances so I'm looking to get a lot more. "Matt Ritchie will probably say the same because of the way we play, with the full-backs bombing forward and getting the wingers involved - you expect to score more goals. "I've been lucky enough to get big goals - especially the ones against Bristol and Plymouth because they were the only goals in the games - but I just want to get on the scoresheet as much as possible."
