Gary Jones believes Rochdale must face up to the fact they are in a relegation battle this season.
Dale, promoted from League Two last year, are only in the relegation places on goal difference but have not won in their last five outings. Manager Steve Eyre took over from Keith Hill this summer and club captain Jones admits the transition has been difficult for the squad. "This is a different team to last season, with a different manager and different formations - but results mean everything," he told the Manchester Evening News. "If you don't get results you find yourself stuck at the wrong end of the table and that's where we are at the moment. "Things were never going to change overnight and we have just got to stick together and hopefully get some results."
