Sheffield United have completed the double loan signing of Billy Clarke and Matt Phillips from Blackpool.

Striker Clarke, 23, and midfielder Phillips, 20, both arrive on one-month loan deals in time for Sunday's Steel City derby at Bramall Lane. Phillips, who has represented England Under-19s, told the Blades' official website: "It's a massive club and this is a great opportunity for me. I want to play football and hopefully my performances can help the team." Clarke, who has fully recovered from a serious knee injury that sidelined him for the entire 2010/11 campaign, said: "Sheffield United is obviously a big club so it's good to be here and hopefully I can get plenty of games under my belt." Blackpool manager Ian Holloway added: "I've told (Blades boss) Danny Wilson he can have them for 28 days and if it goes well I'll get my blokes flying back."
