No appeal for Davies' red card

Bradford City will not contest on-loan defender Andrew Davies' red card at the weekend.

The Stoke centre-half was dismissed for a tackle on Torquay's Danny Stevens during the Bantams' 1-0 victory at Valley Parade. "We have looked at the incident and we've decided not to appeal," boss Phil Parkinson told the club's official website. "There was no contact with the player whatsoever and on another day it might not even have been a foul. "What we have to be careful of is that we don't appeal and then get done for a frivolous appeal and get an extra game (added to the ban)." Davies will now serve a three-game ban, meaning he misses matches against Hereford, Northampton and Macclesfield.
