Ramsden gets specialist treatment

Bradford's Simon Ramsden has been sent to an injury rehabilitation specialist to boost his recovery from a persistent calf problem.

The 29-year-old's 2010/11 campaign was blighted by injury as he only featured on three occasions, and the defender made two appearances in pre-season for the Bantams. Bradford boss Phil Parkinson feels that entrusting his recovery to specialists will be beneficial, and told the club's official website: "Simon is getting better all the time that I have been here, I've got to say. "I've heard how he has had setbacks with his calf in the past but he's made progress in terms of being positive and he's running again. "We felt he could do with four or five days at Lilleshall, where hopefully he will be getting specialist treatment all day. Hopefully he will come back to us next Monday, or not far off. "People have written him off in the past but we hope he will be back in contention sooner rather than later."
