Bradford's Nahki Wells has been chosen for the Bermuda squad for his country's first two 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

The striker will miss forthcoming fixtures against Sheffield Wednesday and Morecambe due to the travelling involved for the games against Trinidad and Tobago (September 2) and Guyana (September 6).

Manager Peter Jackson is happy to see the young striker, who scored in Bradford's reserve fixture at Rotherham on Monday, given the opportunity to represent his homeland.

Jackson told the club's official website: "It is a great opportunity for Nahki.

"I am delighted for him and it will be great to see a City striker on the international stage."
