Keeper in contention to deputise for Hansen in Carling Cup tie

Goalkeeper Oscar Jansson has joined Bradford City on a month's loan after signing a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur. Jansson has yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs, but has agreed a new deal until the end of the season after previously undertaking loan spells at Exeter City and Northampton Town. The 20-year-old will now link up with Bradford and could play in Tuesday's Carling Cup tie against Leeds United after fellow on-loan keeper Martin Hansen was denied permission to play. "With Liverpool not allowing us to play Martin on Tuesday, it meant we have had to move to bring another keeper in," Bradford boss Peter Jackson told the club's official website. "Oscar has been out on loan before in the Football League so he knows what it is all about. "I have been impressed with what I've seen of him and I think he will do well for us. "He will now go up against Jon (McLaughlin) for a place in the side against Leeds on Tuesday. "It will be a big occasion for him if he plays, but like the rest of the lads, I am sure he will be up for it." Meanwhile, Spurs' young goalkeeper Mirko Ranieri has returned to his Italian homeland to join FC Esperia Viareggio, who play in the third tier, on a season-long loan.
