Tisdale: We helped make Taylor

Exeter City manager boss Paul Tisdale says the club can be proud of the role they played in Matt Taylor's development.

The centre-half joined former Premier League side Charlton on a free transfer last week after four years at St James Park. "I'm delighted for Matt," Tisdale told the Exeter Express and Echo. "He made it clear he wanted a challenge elsewhere and I was more than happy to facilitate that. It will be great for him to go and play on a big stage. "I spotted him playing for Sheffield Hallam University and Andy Tillson and I worked with him at Team Bath. "I'm delighted he had four years with Exeter, we have helped him along the way."
