Wilson planning Kozluk talks

Manager hints there could still be a place for experienced defender

Danny Wilson has not ruled out the possibility of veteran defender Rob Kozluk staying at Sheffield United. The experienced full-back is out of contract at Bramall Lane and was expected to depart the South Yorkshire side this summer. But new manager Wilson says he could be open to the 33-year-old, who is in his second stint with the Blades, penning a new deal at the relegated club. "I'd be interested in speaking to Kozzy and seeing what his thoughts are," Wilson told the Sheffield Star. "Rob is a real character, a good character and someone who is great to have in the dressing room. Whether or not we could guarantee him a regular start in the team I don't know. "But those are good qualities to have." Kozluk, predominantly a right-sided defender, returned to United 11 months ago following a three-year stint at local rivals Barnsley. He previously spent almost eight seasons with the Blades between 1999 and 2007.
