Jackson hails lively Bantams

Bradford's stand-in centre-half Lee Bullock is among several players to have earned praise from manager Peter Jackson.

The Bantams clinched a crucial 2-1 win over Aldershot on Monday to edge six points clear of the bottom two - they need one more point from the last two games to guarantee their safety - and Jackson was impressed by his players' fighting qualities. He said: "Lee Bullock was our best player in the second half on Saturday and he came into the side again on Monday and did just as well. "We know that centre-half isn't his most natural position but I thought his attitude was superb and he just got on and did a job for us there. "There was the likes of Jon Worthington, who was limping as early as the very start of the second half because of a knock he picked up. But he didn't let it affect him and battled on. "And Jake Speight, who had run himself into the ground, or Michael Flynn, who still made a tackle despite injuring his hamstring. This is the sort of attitude we need to get moving in the right direction, not just this season, but the next one."
