Bantams expect festive boost

Image: Hunt: Knee injury

Bradford City boss Peter Taylor could be boosted by the return to fitness of four first-team players next month.

Two long-term absentees, Lewis Hunt and Jonathan Saxton, hope to return to full training within two and three weeks respectively, while central defenders Steve Williams and Shane Duff are also working their way back from injury. Defender Hunt, who sustained knee ligament damage in September, and goalkeeper Saxton (ankle) have both started running again and could be back in action early in the new year. Williams injured his groin in the FA Cup clash at Colchester two weeks ago and hopes to start some light running next week and Duff (Achilles), close to a return to first-team action last week, has been told to rest up for a little bit longer after suffering a reaction.
