Taylor cools Daley concerns

Bradford manager Peter Taylor has dispelled fears Omar Daley is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

The Bantams winger was withdrawn at half-time in Saturday's home win over Cheltenham due to a groin strain, but could be in contention for the weekend trip to Burton. Taylor said: "It's not serious and he was feeling better after the game. But you can't take a chance when it's a strain like that. It's like a sprinter who has got to be confident in himself. "If Omar had any negative thoughts in his head about his groin then he would only be going half pace in the second half. There's no point in that." Daley has been handed a free role up front for the last two games, from which Taylor's side have taken six points. The City boss added: "I was pleased with him on Saturday. He started making runs without the ball behind people, which causes defenders all sorts of problems. Omar is so quick and if he can start adding that to his game then he will be even more of a threat."
