Peter Taylor has confirmed that he will try to sign Luke Oliver in the summer after the defender returned to Wycombe.
Oliver joined Bradford on loan in March and the deal was recently extended until the end of the season.
However, Wycombe have now recalled the 6ft 7in centre-back after being left short of cover following an injury to skipper Adam Hinshelwood.
Oliver had previously hinted that he would be open to a permanent move to Bradford and Taylor admits he would be keen to sort out a deal.
The manager is expected to commit himself to the Bantams on a long-term contract and is already considering possible transfer targets.
"I've told him if I get my bits and pieces sorted out (with the contract) he will definitely be on my list," Taylor told the club's official website.
"Luke's got the added ability where he can play up front, so he's a very handy central defender.
"(Losing him) hurts us a little bit but to be honest, they could have called Luke back a couple of weeks ago."
