Striker looking to make his return from injury

Bradford City striker Peter Thorne admits the current cold snap has hampered his prospects of making a first-team return. The 36-year-old has been restricted to five appearances this season due to a calf injury which has kept him sidelined since early October and, although he is now ready to build his match fitness, the snow and ice have halted further progress. Thorne told the club's official website: "The body feels very good at the moment. It's just this weather which is killing me. "It's come at the wrong time because I can't get going. It's just a matter of getting out on a football pitch again, but obviously that's not going to happen." Thorne added: "Everything feels fine and fingers crossed the muscle stays strong because I can't keep having this happen. "But with the weather as it is I'm not going to go straight back in, so it gives me that bit of extra time."
