Bradford City winger Joe Colbeck will be out until the New Year after cracking a bone in his foot.
The 21-year-old had to be stretchered off after sustaining the injury in the second-half of the 3-1 away victory over Grimsby Town last Friday.
He went for a scan on Tuesday which revealed the extent of his injury and he will now have to wear a surgical boot for the next month before starting rehabilitation in December.
The news is a big blow to the Bantams who have won their last two games to rise to second in League Two.
Colbeck was an ever-present in the side in the league before his injury, scoring two goals.
