Bradford have ended their search for a new goalkeeper by landing Rhys Evans on a free transfer.
The former England Under 21 international, who was released by Millwall at the end of last season, has signed a one-year deal with the Bantams.
The 26-year-old had spent one month on loan at Valley Parade during the 2007/08 campaign, and impressed Stuart McCall once more during a recent trial period.
He featured in a 2-1 friendly defeat to Burnley on Wednesday and has been backed by McCall to be a success at the League Two club.
Qualities
"Anyone who went to the Burnley game saw the qualities of Rhys," the Bantams boss told the Telegraph & Argus.
"He was excellent and I hope he carries that on.
"I wanted a more experienced keeper who had played a bit and Rhys has the advantage of being here before.
"I was a bit surprised he wasn't offered anything by Millwall after playing regularly last season. But I spoke to their manager and the goalkeeping coach and both recommended him to us."
