Bradford City boss Stuart McCall has blamed Laurence Wilson for Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu's sending off against Chester City.
The on-loan forward was dismissed just before half-time in Saturday's FA Cup 1-0 win for picking up a second yellow card.
His challenge on Wilson resulted in the red card, but McCall feels Ndumbu-Nsungu was harsly treated.
McCall will not discipline the striker and has accused Chester defender Wilson of having a role in the decision.
"I was very confident seeing it first time that 'G' didn't make contact and seeing it again there was clear space between them," McCall told the club's official website.
"It was not the sort of thing you expect from a British player and I'm very disappointed.
"It was a really poor decision, not even a foul, and didn't warrant the reaction from the Chester player.
"Guylain won't be disciplined by the club because he has suffered enough. It was a really poor decision."
