Bradford City have announced the signing of Jamaican international Jermaine Johnson

The former Bolton and Oldham midfielder has agreed a one-year deal at Valley Parade and arrives on a season-long loan from his club Tivoli Gardens.

"I learned a lot from being here before and I want to show that," said Johnson.

"My best position is to go forward with the ball and score goals but I've learned to track back defending and to keep my cool.

"Going back to Jamaica last year was very difficult. I didn't know what to expect from the spectators or the players over there.

"It was always my aim to get a second chance in England and it's paid off now. As soon as my agent told me that Bradford were interested I was very excited."

The Bantams are keen admirers of the Jamaican market having in recent years also signed Donovan Ricketts and Damion Stewart - with the former still at the club.
