Bantams star set for rest

Bradford City midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has been ordered to rest.

Bradford City midfielder Marc Bridge-Wilkinson has been ordered to rest as he bids to step-up his rehabilitation.

Bridge-Wilkinson has been forced to miss The Bantams' last five games and he has now been told to rest entirely for a week - after having his leg fitted in a brace.

City boss Colin Todd admits the situation is providing him with somewhat of a conundrum, but he is hopeful that it can be solved in the next couple of weeks.

''It has been over three weeks now for a very minor ligament problem,'' Todd told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.

''He's had it X-rayed and scanned and the specialist said there was very minimal discomfort there.

''It's disappointing he hasn't made the improvement we were looking for so I have decided, along with the physio, that he has a week off in the hope that he comes back ready.''
