Bantams sign ex-Toffees

Bradford City have snapped up former Everton duo Steven Schumacher and Michael Symes.

The pair have been rewarded with two-year contracts after impressing Bantams boss Colin Todd during pre-season.

Schumacher and Symes (pictured) were both released by The Toffees last season after failing to make the breakthrough at Goodison Park.

Midfielder Schumacher undertook loan spells at Carlisle United and Oldham Athletic and will be aiming to cement a regular spot with League One side Bradford.

Symes joined Crewe Alexandra on loan on transfer deadline day last season and scored once for The Railwaymen.

The 20-year-old forward will be looking to prove he can score goals on a consistent basis after agreeing his two-year deal with The Bantams.
